Overview
Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) is an intensive academic and enrichment initiative created for African secondary school students. The program is tailored for those who have aspirations to pursue higher education and aim to have a meaningful impact as emerging leaders on the continent.
Applications must be between the ages of 14-18 years old on July 2024, and must be a citizen or permanent resident of an African country.
The admissions committee give preference to high-achieving, low-income (i.e. “HALI”) students who do not have university guidance in their schools or communities.
